"At the Crossroads"

"...Deny yourself, take up your cross daily and follow me." Luke 9:23

”At the Crossroads” represents the road to the cross, where our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, made the ultimate sacrifice for the sins of man.  This wheel also represents the crossroads of one’s life in Christ. It is meant to serve as a reminder that the believer daily denies self in order to “take up the cross” and follow Jesus, sharing his message of love with the world, and committing to live one’s own life as a testimony to his grace and mercy.

"Love One Another"

"Be completely humble and gentle; be patient; bearing with one another in love." Ephesians 4:2

The first visual for this wheel started as people holding hands.  As I prayed for guidance on this design, the most amazing thing began to happen!  When the people I drew were joined in a circular pattern, the hearts appeared, and then the Star of David was revealed.  These were not part of my design.  Christ himself designed this wheel! The final product represents love. It represents the way we should treat others: being humble, gentle and patient with each other, loving each other the way Christ loves us.

"ICHTHYS"

"You also are among those who are called to belong to Jesus Christ." Romans 1:6

is the Greek acronym for “Ichthys: sometimes called the Greek fish or Jesus fish.  Early Christians would greet each other by swinging their foot across the sand, creating an arch. If the person they were speaking with then swept their foot over the arch, they created a fish in the sand. They would then know they were talking to a fellow Christian and could freely share their faith.  We as Christians are called to share our faith. We are called to bear witness to the love of Christ.  No matter who we are, when we give our life to Christ, we are empowered by the Holy Spirit. We are called unto Him, and He resides in us. He will never leave us or forsake us. We belong to Him!

"Fishers of Men"

"Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men." Matthew 4:19

This verse of scripture started Holy Roller Wheels.  The fish is God’s design, a way to draw people to the wheel, then to His message.  When we follow Christ, walking with Him and seeking Him in our daily lives, we are transformed!  Romans 12:2 states that we are to “no longer conform to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of our minds.” This renewing prepares us to be a witness to the power of Christ in our lives.  We can then become fishers of men, reaching out to others with the Word.  We become fishers of men because we ourselves have been caught by His love, grace, and faithfulness, and desire to share with the world, the joy that we have found in Him. Jesus’ last words tell us to “go, make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”

NEW "Purified by Fire"

"I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich." Revelation 3:18

”Pure gold put in the fire comes out of it proved pure; genuine faith put through this suffering comes out proved genuine. When Jesus wraps this all up, it's your faith, not your gold that God will have on display as evidence of his victroy. You never saw him, yet you love him. You still don't see him, yet you trust him– with laughter and singing. Because you kept on believing, you'll get what you're looking forward to: total salvation." 1 Peter 1:7-9 Message Bible

Faith and Grace are the elements of the God Embrace: our faith accepting His Grace. Everything around us tries to tear us from God's love: our circumstances, our doubts and fears, but these fires are allowed so that we can be made eternally rich. Believing, you deposit God's grace in your soul's bank!
